In some ways, I'm the best host, because when you come over for Friendsgiving or a holiday meal you know you’ll leave feeling happy and full (and maybe like you ate a little too much). But I'm also the worst host because I never want anyone to bring anything. I just want to make it all! I enjoy cooking and have a clear vision, so I usually tell people to bring dessert. It’s kind of messed up because it puts a lot of pressure on them, given that I'm Melissa of Baked by Melissa and I always have bite-size cupcakes there anyway. But when I’m cooking I need my space and would rather people bring wine or something for dessert.
For Friendsgiving, make whatever your heart desires. It’s about getting together with friends and seeing people you love and probably don’t have the time to see as often as you’d like. And remember—don’t stress!

It’s been a long week. Adi and I have been loving my “orange” juice to get over this bug (it’s packed with ginger and turmeric). I normally take this turmeric in the morning in water; the juice gives an extra boost.
One of my favorite skincare brands Osea sent me a package! I love their body oil.
I will always recommend this dip when hosting. It’s the perfect way to welcome people in.
Ooey, gooey, cheesy, and garlicky—it’s everything you could want in one pot.

I would be THRILLED to arrive at a friend’s and see this on the table. When there are so many rich sides, this one’s a welcome change.
A fun twist on classic Thanksgiving sweet potatoes.
The perfect potatoes, with a crunchy outside and creamy inside. Serve with your favorite dip!
