What to Cook for People You Love ❤️
Cozy winter meals
Food is love. And food is how I show my love. The warmer and more comforting the meal, the more love you taste in every bite. It doesn’t have to be overly complicated or time-consuming, either.
From new parents to sick friends to loved ones who need extra support, prepping easy meals that nourish and freeze well is one of the best things you can do to care for the people you love.
A few tips to get started:
Store the food in freezer bags and/or deli containers. They’re lightweight and freezer-safe, and your recipient won’t have to worry about returning dishes.
Label everything for easy cooking. This week I’ve included reheating instruction labels that you can attach to the food you’re dropping off. So much easier than finding an old text! Remember to include the date you cooked it, too.
Make sure to check that they have room in their freezer before you start cooking. If not, drop off a one-pot chicken for dinner that night.
Easy Freezer Meals

These are the perfect meals to bring to someone—they make you feel like you’re getting a hug while you eat. Since it’s so cold outside, this time I’m focusing on warm meals with sauces and soup. Here’s what’s on the menu:
Melted Beef
Taco Chili (Soup)
Mini Meatball & Dumpling Soup
Leeky Chicken Soup
Vegan Tomato Soup
Homemade Bone Broth
Magic Sauce & Meatballs
Little Treats

I need a bite of something sweet after every meal. (If I’m taking food to someone, I’m probably bringing cupcakes, too.) For more freezer-ready desserts, these recipes are packed with good-for-you ingredients like chickpeas, dates, and bananas. Perfect for busy friends to pull from the freezer when they need a little treat! Here’s what’s included:
Snickerdoodle Chickpea Cake
Nut Butter-Stuffed Dates
Cookie Dough Bars
Banana Bread
Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Drop any of these off at a friend’s house and they’ll love you forever. What’s your go-to dish to take to someone? I’d love to hear!
