Sweet Lunchbox Surprises 💌🍪
Packed with good-for-you ingredients
On Thursday, we made it out the door on time and walked our girls to the first day of school.
The summer flew by and I have a hard time believing they’re already so big. We’ll spend the weekend prepping for the first full week of school; these recipes are my secret weapon to give you a headstart on next week’s lunchboxes. Invite your kids to help in the kitchen—mine especially love helping with the Granola Cookies. (Psst…you can also sneak some in your work bag.)
And once the week starts, let me help you with a few quick and easy weeknight meals. Make these three, an end-of-summer salad, and at the end of the week, order out. You’ve earned a pizza night. Happy first week of school to all who celebrate!
My daughter’s backpacks (shown above) are from Little Chicken. So cute!! Love their lunchboxes too.
I also love these lunchboxes that we bought a few years ago.
It’s Baked by Melissa’s 16th birthday and to celebrate, we’re offering 16% off birthday treats. Time to send to everyone you know!
I’ve been getting a lot of emails asking about my knives. All my favorites are linked here! (If you have a question or need a product rec, I’ve got you! Email askmelissa@bakedbymelissa.com or pop in the chat.)
The perfect weekend pancakes (our tradition), packed with protein, flax, hemp seeds, and more. Make extras to add to lunchboxes!
These are similar to kitchen sink cookies, but inspired by all my favorite granola ingredients.
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins
I used to pack these for my daughter almost every day. After baking, freeze and grab throughout the week.
I love having a batch of these in the freezer for a bite of something sweet after dinner. There’s a riff of this recipe in my cookbook, too! Try both and let me know which is your favorite.

Love love love!
