11 Recipes Worth Celebrating
(Like your mom)
Happy Saturday and happy early Mother’s Day! I hope you all have delicious plans to celebrate.
The other day, I asked in the chat what recipes you wanted to see for Mother’s Day and so many of you sent great suggestions my way. From breakfast in bed to big family brunches, below you’ll find a few mouthwatering recipes to treat your mom this weekend (and every day—she deserves it!).
In case you missed it: A lot of people have been asking for the 7-Minute Cauliflower recipe I shared on IG the other day. You can find that here with a printable recipe! And shop the post here for my favorite tools. Please let me know once you make it—I’m so proud of how it turned out.
I’m working on organizing my girls’ closet to get ready for summer and LOVE these hangers and these cute hooks. You can fit so many clothes vertically on the skirt hangers so you don’t use up as much space! I put the hooks on the inside of my kids’ closet for hats and to hang the outfits they pick to wear to school the next day. AND I put some on the back of their door for bags and all the random shit I have no place for. LOVE THEM. And these velvet hangers are the best—I just ordered more.
My chopping bowl is one of my favorite kitchen tools. My grandmother had one just like it that my mom uses for tuna salad, so every time I use mine I think of them.
I ran two miles with Kate Mackz last Tuesday, which you can watch here! It was such a fun interview to do on my way to the office. (Couldn’t have done it without my Hokas.)
I’m in my sponge cake era. I made this with $16 worth of strawberries and only one of my kids liked it, but I LOVED it. It’s fluffy, light, and packed with real strawberry flavor.
Make it the night before, then just pop it in the oven when you wake up.
A nourishing snacking cake packed with great-for-you ingredients, like dates and chickpeas (and, of course, chocolate chips).
Chocolate Chip Brioche French Toast
Another overnight delight—make it the night before and bake it the next morning. Who doesn’t love waking up to melted chocolate chips?
My mom is the best tuna salad maker, so a recipe inspired by hers is obligatory in this roundup (love you, Mom!).
Want to grill? Throw the zucchini on. Have some ramps? Blend them into the pesto. This gorgeous side is infinitely adaptable for just about every situation, and you’d never know it’s packed with kale.
Kale Salad with Garlicky Croutons
I love the color this salad brings to the table—and these homemade croutons are SO good.
Perfect for a smaller brunch. Feed everyone in one pot, with juicy chicken, filling grains, and lots of spring produce.
Despite the name, this isn’t your garden-variety pasta salad—this one is packed with delicious veggies and fresh herbs. The leftovers are also a great lunch the next day!
Inspired by one of Adi’s mom’s recipes! I love to make it in my chopping bowl, which I finally bought after many years of envying my grandmother’s.
If you’re able to find really good tomatoes, please, please make this for your mom. (If you can’t, she can wait until they’re really good.)
What are you making for mom this weekend? Let me (and everyone else) know in the comments!
